Parsing the Prez

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies. ... Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
- Senator Barack Obama, 2006

It hardly takes any parsing to see that Senator Obama is in total disagreement with President Obama, and that he's desperate to keep us from knowing what he used to know.

  1. That is a spectacular catch, Pygmalion!

It frustrates the hell out of me when these supposed leaders of ours tell us what they purport to think based on who their opponents du jour happen to be on that day and then they think we're too stupid to know it and too detached to remember and too uninvolved to care and act to throw their asses out on their ear where they belong instead of reelecting the creeps so they can bend the pages over in the Congressional lounges.

    Not next election!
